Henry Kondracki was born in Edinburgh ,1953 . He studied painting at Byam Shaw School of Art, London during 1981-2 and at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London 1982-6 to gain his BA in Fine Art (First Class Honours).

He is a winner of many prestigious awards and he lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland.
