Eileen Cooper (born England 1953) studied at Goldsmith's
and Royal College of Art, London (1974-77). Following a string
of prestigious exhibitions during the 80's she emerged as
one of Britain's foremost figurative artists and in 2001 was
elected an academician of the Royal Academy of Arts. She has
shown in many national and international exhibitions of British
Art and her work has been seen in group shows at Art Space
Gallery. In 1998 she was commissioned to make a suite of monotypes
for the Impressions exhibition. She is currently represented
by Art First.

Paul Gopal-Chowdhury (born India 1949) studied
at Camberwell School of Art and the Slade School of Art, London
(1969-73) During the 80's success followed with regular exhibitions
in England and abroad including the Serpentine Gallery, an invitation
to select and exhibit in the Hayward Annual (1979) and an Artist
in Residence at Gonville and Ciaus College and Kettle's Yard,
Cambridge. Since the mid nineties he has been working on a series
of paintings that bring together a fusion of Indian mythological
subjects and London street scenes. He is represented by Art
Space Gallery and this new body of work will be shown for the
first time in spring 2002. |

John Kiki (born Cyprus 1944 in) studied
Camberwell School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools (1960-64).
He has shown regularly in England and abroad including the Serpentine
Gallery and the Barbican Gallery. In 1989 he was the subject
of a film in the 'Artists Eye' series made by Franco Rosso for
BBC TV and since 1991 his powerful images with their energetic
brushwork and expressive colour have been regularly seen in
one-man and mixed exhibitions at Art Space Gallery. |

Andrea McLean (born England 1968) studied at Falmouth School
of Art and the Slade School of Art (1987-1994) and was awarded
the Abbey Scholarship in painting at the British School at
Rome (1994-95). Fascinated by the medieval world, and medieval
maps in particular, she is currently Artist in Residence at
Gloucester Cathedral where she is working on a large all encompassing
' Wheel of the Year' paintings that will be a visual diary
that records her experience of the Cathedral, the medieval
fabric of the building and the festivals of the ecclesiastical
calendar. She had her first solo-exhibition at Art Space Gallery
in 1999 with a second planned for autumn 2002 which will focus
on the work being made at Gloucester Cathedral.

George Rowlett (born Scotland 1941)
studied at Camberwell School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools
(1965-68) and has an impressive record with work included in
numerous prestigious exhibitions in England and abroad. He shares
his time between Rotherhithe in London and Walmer in Kent, painting
thickly impastoed pictures of the coastal area of East Kent
and the river Thames. He is represented by Art Space Gallery. |
