A more enjoyable alternative to Noel Road route, is along the Regent's Canal towpath, which runs parallel to Noel Road.

Enter the towpath at the end of Duncan Street, continue under the hump-bridge; go past City Basin Lock and take the exit marked Wharf Road by the Narrowboat Pub.
